Pizza Hut Triple Cheese Pizza – Deceptively Disappointing

I love Pizza Hut’s stuffed crust pizza. There’s something about it that is just so satisfyingly greasy and comforting. So when they announced their three cheese pizza I was all ears. I mean how could it go wrong? In every way possible.

First of all, the crust, or lack thereof. Pizza hut is not known for its crust, but this was just pathetic. The crust was thin and soggy enough that it was literally falling apart. We are talking literally paper thing. There was no way this thing could hold the weight of the pepperoni and onions that I ordered.

Second, the crust was tasteless, I’m talking worse than school lunch pizza. I don’t expect a lot from Pizza Hut crust, but it’s usually better than this.

Lastly, and most importantly, where the frick was my cheese. Look at that picture! It conjours images of biting into a thick tube of cheese one that is guaranteed to give someone a heart attack! There was literally (and I mean literally) a 1/1000 inch of a layer of cheese on the inside of that crust. Where had all the cheese gone?

In some slices it had melted out the bottom. Fantastic, my cheese is not inside of the crust. Some slices seemed to never have had any cheese to begin with. Never has such a tragedy befallen my fast food since the rancid lobster egg rolls from Saint Louis Wok.

The biggest slap in the face? This freaking pizza is $2.00 more than the normal stuffed crust! Spare yourself some pain, go back to the classic stuffed crust.
